Transport to and from Achalm

Dear Participants

To get to the Achalm (note that this is about 100 km from Karlsruhe, not to confuse) here are some options;

1. Fly to Frankfurt and take a train to Reutlingen (train station); this is about €50-60 one way

2. Fly to Stuttgart (it is much closer) and take a Bus to Reutlingen (train station); bus about €7, taxi about €65

3. If you travel by train please go to Reutlingen Train station

4. Car to Achalm hotel (please put ‘Königssträßle’ into your Navy as the Hotel Address will yield wrong route); it is quite tricky to find the right exit from the B28 with no signs, the hotel is at the very end of the Königsträßle, carry on up til the end. There is free parking for guests and conference participants

5. Yes, you can also walk from Reutlingen train station, it is about 3 km with a sporty and scenic uphill (we will put a map on the website).

From Reutlingen train station we will arrange pick-up and drop off before and after the conference (not during). Best is if you let us know your arrival time and if you would like a pick up /drop off beforehand so our team can schedule the trips and wait for you at arrival. If you arrive or depart during the conference please arrange your own transport (taxi from Achalm, which you can book at reception or phone) as our team is expected to attend the sessions.

The contact for pick-ups is the Achalm Hotel reception (07121 482-0) who will convey the messages to our team. A few colleagues coming from afar who need or whom I have offered special service –please let me know your arrival time and place upfront and make sure you have my mobile number for emergencies.
