Welcome to Nanofiltration 2022
Nanofiltration 2022 was postponed to 26 - 30 June 2022 at the Achalm due to uncertainty and travel restrictions related with the Coronavirus. All speaker invitations, abstract acceptances, registration payments etc. will be honoured. The abstract submission deadline will remain open and we will manage additional participants and talks in a dynamic manner. The number of available rooms has been increased to 100 for this new date, so hopefully this will all work out well.
Please stay healthy and we are looking forward to meeting everyone one year later - and wiser!
Nanofiltration 2022 will be held 26 - 30 June 2022 on the occasion of the launch of the New Nanofiltration book. The topics will cover the theme of the book: Nanofiltration: Principles, Applications and New Materials. Many of the authors will present their contributions, where additional oral and poster presentations will reflect the state-of-the-art and future developments in nanofiltration. The invitation to submit abstracts is open. I am hoping to welcome some of our membrane emeriti such that we will have an enjoyable membrane family meeting.
The venue is a special one. The Achalm is a mountain near the Swabian Alb that once was a 13th century castle, named after nearby ‘running water’ (Ach). Located in Reutlingen, in the centre of the state Baden-Württemberg. Immersed in a rich South German culture and the amazing natural environment of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Swabian Alb, the region offers technological highlights (the home of Porsche and Mercedes, Hugo Boss) as well as incredible recreational delights – and membrane history.
Personally, this is my home and it will be a great pleasure to welcome many international colleagues to the Achalm. Our conference room is a sheep barn, for shepherds and their flock are still at home on the Achalm. We will enjoy stunning views, visit Lichtenstein Castle, have dinner at the Forsthaus and relax with a short hike up to the Achalm and in the stunning infinity pool – or the sauna with a view.
Looking forward to a great event and many stimulating discussions in lectures, at posters and ‘out and about’.

Nanofiltration 2022 will take place from Sunday 26 June until Thursday 30 June. We have a full programme with about 50 oral presentations. Due to current uncertainties with corona pandemic and the Ukraine war we are expecting fluctuations, hopefully with both situations easing towards summer. However, registrations are limited to 100 places due to the venue and hence a timely registration is important. The tentative session names and timing have updated in the programme (click here). We have well known special guests coming and an incredible number of international colleagues confirmed their participation, balancing nanofiltration book authors and colleagues from across the field.
We are looking forward to meeting you all soon on the Achalm.More
